PRIMI BORDI SUL GARDA: VERSO META' GIUGNO APRONO LE SCUOLE VELA

LAGO DI GARDA – I primi allenamenti con le barchette dei singoli dell' Optimist e del Laser, mascherine per le altre barche, grande attenzione alla sanificazioni dei locali dei Sodalizi. Sul Garda, la vela ha preso il largo con tante attenzioni. Tra la fine di giugno e luglio dovrebbero tornare anche le regate, probabilmente con caschetti (che già venivano usati sulle barche più veloci) e visiere. 

VECCHIE VELE: nave goletta VITTORIA

La nave goletta Vittoria venne costruita nel Cantiere B. Cerruti di Varazze nel 1878.  Armatore ne era lo stesso costruttore B. Cerruti.   Venne posta al comando del Capitano B. Olivari di Camogli.    Nell'inverno 1905 un terribile uragano sorprese la nave al passaggio di Capo Horn. Nonostante i gravi danni subiti, con i propri mezzi grazie alla perizia dell'equipaggio riuscì a rilasciare a Montevideo.

Al Circolo Surf Torbole iniziano i corsi dedicati ai giovanissimi

Dopo l’apertura del circolo ai soci e l’inizio degli allenamenti per le squadre agonistiche, con il mese di giugno al Circolo Surf Torbole iniziano anche i corsi di windsurf e kitesurf dedicati soprattutto ai giovani (8-16 anni). Un’occasione d’oro poter imparare discipline che sono in totale contatto con la natura, in un ambiente, qual è il Garda Trentino, che il mondo ci invidia. 

Celebrating 50 Years of the Finn Masters with 'NOT the 50th Finn World Masters'

This week should have been the 2020 Finn World Masters in Port Zelanda, in The Netherlands. Entries were approaching 250 when the decision was made to cancel back in March, with more than 300 Finns expected to turn up. Across the sport of sailing many major events have been postponed or cancelled, but for the Finn Masters the cancellation of this year’s event was especially poignant as it was the 50th Anniversary Finn World Masters.

Sailor of the Year – FIV: Luna Rossa awarded the “Special Prize for Technological Innovation”

On 28th May, with a new streaming version, the 26th edition of the “Velista dell’Anno” (Italian Sailor of the Year) award was held. The event has the FIV – Federazione Italiana Vela (Italian Sailing Federation) as institutional partner. The jury assigned the “Special Prize for Technological Innovation” to the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team.

During the past months of lockdown, the team has continued to work on developing the boat and, thanks to electric motors installed on the AC75, sea trials could be carried out on the water to test certain components.

The trailer for the first season of the web series “Challengers for Now”, dedicated to the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team challenge for the 36th America's Cup, is online from today, 25 May. The trailer previews the four episodes that will be available on our website starting from 4 June and describing, through interviews with team members and exclusive content, the events behind an enthralling undertaking such as an America's Cup campaign.

VELISTA DELL'ANNO - I GARDESANI PREMIATI

Velista dell'anno è il romano Marco Gradoni, 17 anni , tre volte vincitore del Mondiale Optimist (2017, 2018 e 2019).  Corre per un Club del litorale laziale del Circolo velico del Tognazzi Village. Gradoni si è aggiudicato il premio della Federazione Italiana Vela , un vero e proprio Oscar dello sport velico, giunto alla 26/a edizione (la prima venne vinta dai velisti sebini  Giorgio Zuccoli e Angelo Glisoni). 

Il Velista dell’Anno FIV – All’AC75 Luna Rossa il "Premio Speciale Innovazione Tecnologica”

Si è tenuta il 28 maggio, con un’inedita versione streaming, la 26esima edizione del “Velista dell’Anno - FIV”, che ha come partner istituzionale la Federazione Italiana Vela. Al team Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli è stato assegnato dalla giuria il “Premio Speciale per l’Innovazione Tecnologica”.
