PORTOSIN – (25 September 18.15) - Calm dead and rain forced crews to an
exasperating wait holding over until around 4 p.m in Portosin, Galicia,
where the Platu 25 World Championship is taking place until the 28th
of September. Finally wind allowed the committee to give the go-ahead.
Two races have been competed until now and the third one is on. In
the first race the Spanish crew “E para comer Lugo”, of Gonzalo Araujo,
from the Royal Nautic Club of Vigo crossed first the finishing line,
achieving a good position in the ranking list. Consider that yesterday
“E para comer Lugo”, concluded with a brilliant second place, now the
Spanish crew leaded by Gonzalo Arujo is leading. “Mar de Frades” helmed
by Anton Paz found again its determination and conquered a second place.
The Italian crew “Euz II Monella Vagabonda” helmed by Sandro Montefusco
started getting back on top with a third place. However,
the second race reshuffled positions again. The Spanish “Aceites Abril"
skippered Pablo Iglesias Garcia (Rcn Vigo) got a first place and gained
many positions, "E para comer Lugo got a second and keeps
dominating the general ranking list. The third place is for Alberto
Garcia’s "Brillamar" They are doing the third race now.
