Nassau (Bahamas), 08 December 2013 - During the
final of the Star Sailing League, happening in Nassau from Dec 3d to
Dec 8th 2013, Virtual Regatta opened a new championship in their inshore
game. New
virtual Star boats were brought and thousands of players started to race
with the big hope to become the ultimate champion and win the great
price on a thousand dollars. Virtual
Regatta Inshore already broke its record of more than 9000 regattas
played in a day, among thousands of players. With a total of almost a
million gamers registered in www.virtualregatta.com, this game is a great way to bring more visibility for real skippers and crews.
The idea
came then to make a meeting place for the virtual racers and the real
ones. With this view in mind, the Star Sailing League and Virtual
Regatta decided to take advantage of the fact that the "Nautic" boat
show of Paris was opening its doors just during the finals. On Sunday
Dec 9th, from 16h to 18h (15h to 17h GMT), the real champions will be
present on Virtual Regatta Inshore, ready to challenge the community of
players on their field, with a live projection on the big screen of the
Nautic.
Both real
and virtual sailors are very excited of the opportunity to meet each
other in this new challenge, and the fight will be beautiful. For the
occasion, a frequent player of Virtual Regatta Inshore has been sent to
Nassau, Bahamas, in order to get the real sailors familiarized to the
game.
Knowing
their desire to win any race they participate, we can be sure that they
will give their best on the net as much as they do on the water. But be
aware that the gamers won`t make this task that easy and they are ready
to challenge our champions from their home or from the boat show in
Paris. Join us then on www.virtualregatta.com,
register, and try to be part of the game. It is free, fun, and a unique
opportunity to pit yourself against the best of both, virtual and real,
worlds.
