Halo Conferences and Events joins the Global Ocean Race as Hospitality Partner

For the Global Ocean Race, the PSP Southampton Boat Show marks one year to the start of the race in September 2014 and as part of building the presence of the round-the-world GOR on the UK’s South Coast, Southampton-based Halo Conferences and Events announced their partnership with the GOR on the final Friday of the boat show.  Based at Southampton Football Club, Halo Conferences and Events organise all aspects of functions and one-off events at the club’s St. Mary’s Stadium and in Southampton’s extensive network of cruise liner terminals as well as providing quality outside catering in the region. With the start of the GOR at the PSP Southampton Boat Show in the heart of the city next year, Halo Conferences and Events will be closely involved with the race during the build-up period and over the race start in September 2014.

The GOR has two Class40’s at this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show and the Race Director, Josh Hall, has been overwhelmed by the positive reaction from visitors to the show and the support from international and South Coast businesses: “The PSP Southampton Boat Show has been a tremendous success for the GOR,” says Hall. “We’ve had a constant stream of visitors stepping onto the boats and it has provided a perfect showcase for introducing potential Race Partners and sponsors to the concept of offshore racing.
