M32 EUROPEAN SERIES - ACT 5 -
DAY 2 RACING KICKS OFF IN GARGNANO

Gargnano, August 31st, 2018
- Racing eventually kicks off in Gargnano, where the M32 fleet is competing in these days for the penultimate stage of the 2018 Cetilar Sailing Series.    After the no race of yesterday, the PRO Mattias Dahlstrom took advantage of the early morning Peler wind blowing from the North to complete seven fast and challenging races.
With gusts up to 25 knots and choppy waters, the M32 catamarans fascinated the spectators who were watching the races from the shore, reaching impressive accelerations and sailing at over 20 knots.

The first bullet of the event was scored by the British entry GAC Pindar of Ian Williams (1-3-2-1-3-2-2 the scores of today) that, with an extremely consistent series of placements, also affirmed itself as boat of the day despite a collision, gaining the top of the provisional ranking with a margin of 3 points over the Swedish Vikings by Hakan Svensson (2-1-3-3-4-3-1).

Andrea Lacorte with his Vitamina Veloce (4-2-1-2-2-1-4) closes the first day of racing in third position with 19 points and Shark Team (3-4-4-4-1-4-2) by Guido Maini in fourth place of the provisional ranking with 22 points.

Sailors will gather tonight for a pleasant dinner with a beautiful evening lake view at the restaurant of Circolo Vela Gargnano.

Races will resume tomorrow, after the skipper briefing that will be held at 9.00am in the M32 hospitality lounge in Circolo Vela Gargnano.
