Perseverance: The story of Vestas 11th Hour Racing in the Volvo Ocean Race

Vestas 11th Hour Racing entered the Volvo Ocean Race with the aim to achieve exemplary results in sport, and in doing so, be the most sustainable team in the race. Throughout this journey, we were tested time and time again, and yet never lost sight of our ultimate goals.

This became a test of resilience which led the team to continuously achieve our objectives on and off the water, whilst simultaneously leaving a positive legacy for generations to come.

 Vestas 11th Hour Racing is led by Charlie Enright and Mark Towill, bringing together Vestas and 11th Hour Racing to compete in the 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race with a dual mission: achieve exemplary results in sport and be the most sustainable team in the race. The team advocates for effective solutions that lead to a clean atmosphere and marine habitat, harnessing the power of nature for a cleaner tomorrow, and using unparalleled knowledge to empower collaborative, systematic change for our environment.
