Sailing's premier event – the 28th running of Sailing World Cup Miami –
will return to Miami, Fla. for top-level Olympic and Paralympic class
racing. As the only North American regatta to be included in World
Sailing's 2016-17 Sailing World Cup series, the regatta is a mainstay on
the winter circuit for sailors campaigning for the next Olympic and
Paralympic Games. This is the first event in the 2017 World Sailing
World Cup, followed by Sailing World Cup Hyeres April 23-30, 2017, and
the Grand Final in Santander, June 4-11, 2017.
Competitors in the 49er, 49er FX, RS:X, and Nacra events will have five days of fleet racing from Tuesday, January 24 to Friday, January 27 with medal races on Saturday, January 28. Athletes competing in the Laser, Radial, Finn, 470, and 2.4mR will have six days of fleet racing from Tuesday, January 24 to Saturday, January 28, with medal races for all classes but 2.4mR on Sunday, January 29 (2.4mRs will not have a medal race). Medals will be awarded to the top three boats in each class.
Regatta Headquarters will be located at the City of Miami's Regatta Park, in Coconut Grove, Miami, Fla. Shake-A-Leg Miami will host the 2.4mR OD class onshore. The Coral Reef Yacht Club hosts the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Charter boats will be available on a first come basis.

Opening Series: 2.4mR OD (10 race series) Paralympic One Person Keelboat events shall compete under the 2.4 Norlin One Design class rules.
For Paralympic One Person Keelboat, competitors shall send an email to swc@sailing.org to request an invitation to enter the SWC Series
